Position Title: Physical Therapist - Industrial Rehabilitation Trainee #07-110

Department:Northwestern Occupational Health
Position Description: This is a career ladder training position to enable the incumbent to become an Industrial Rehabilitation Physical Therapy Specialist. The incumbent will enter a training program of approximately 18 months in order to provide work hardening/work conditioning, functional capacity evaluations, post-offer pre-placement screens ergonomic assessments, job analyses, and on-site consultation. Provides outpatient physical therapy. The program will include evaluations and incremental raises at approximately 6 month intervals. During this extended probationary period, it is anticipated that progress will be demonstrated at each interval. The program will include some off-site training on industrial rehabilitation.

The above wage range reflects the minimum and maximum hiring range for this position.

Qualifications:
Education:Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy.
Experience:One year experience as an outpatient Physical Therapist treating orthopedic injuries and workers’ compensation patients.
Special Skills:Able to complete training in work rehabilitation skills.
License Required:Valid driver’s license and vehicle. Current licensure in the State of Vermont.
