Position Title: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner/First Assistant #08-155

Department:Surgical Services
Position Description: Provides First Assistant services in the operating room during surgical procedures and assists surgical team as needed in any other capacity, according to established procedures. Provides services and support in the pre-operative patient care area. Provides services and support as First Assistant on an on-call basis.
Status/Schedule:
Status:Full TimeShift:Day
Shift Time Schedule:Hours between 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.Average Weekly Hours:40 hrs/wk
Days:Possible on-call duty required as needed. Weekends may be required as needed.
The above wage range reflects the minimum and maximum hiring range for this position.

Qualifications:
Education:Graduate of an accredited school for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Experience:Two to three years clinical experience. Prior Operating Room experience preferred but not required.
Special Skills:Demonstrate above average technical skills and initiative.
License Required:Current licensure in the State of Vermont as a physician assistant/nurse practitioner and secondary certification as First Assistant.
